Job Title Head Supply Chain

Location , Mumbai

Job Purpose:

Will head the SCM function and have end to end responsibility of driving the supply chain initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Managing end to end supply chain operations, procurement, management and delivery

2. Planning, Sourcing, managing and budgeting activities

3. Demand Supply Management

Collate the projections from all sales channels

Forecast the monthly plan and provide to the manufacturing team

Ensure that the sales orders are delivered as per timelines and plan

Logistics and Transportation:

Negotiate contracts with external vendors (transporters) to reach profitable agreements

Obtain permits and license from appropriate authorities (customs, excise and related liaison and documentation)

Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

Ensure resource availability and allocation

Plan production operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines would be met

Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies

Manage procurement, logistics, transportation, delivery and related activities

Perform risk management to minimize project risks

Manage end to end import supplies of the products

Dealing with port, customs authorities to ensure all products reach warehouse on time

. Warehouse Management:

Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations

Maintain operating costs within the plan

Setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilization

Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with companys policies and vision

Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations

Productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly

. Inventory Management:

Stock taking, Stock Tallying, Reconciliation etc.

Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, manage expiry or optimize resource

Prepare data and MIS on inventory and publish relevant stakeholders

7. Introducing and Developing analytics, metrics and reports for better management reporting

8. Manage relationship with all vendors, Suppliers and internal employees

Education & Experience:

Graduate with minimum 12 15 years of experience in supply chain

Prefer candidates from FMCG/FMCD background.

Experience in managing a contract partner

Required Skills:

Experience with contract manufacturing

Ability to localize the product and manage the entire indigenization project

Business & Commercial acumen

Analytical Skills, Data analysis & Modeling
